A Political Party
A major Political Party were planning a special party at their club, and wanted to have the stage curtains and functions room curtains cleaned. They had arranged a price with a local dry cleaner when a club member, who was also a fireman advised the committee of the need to have all curtains and soft furnishings in buildings to which the public have access flame retarded, the local cleaner was contacted again, but was unable to offer this service.
And so after many phone calls they were put in touch with Carlton, by now getting a bit late in the week, as the special party was only four days away, Carlton visited the club that evening took down the curtains, cleaned then flame retarded them, returning and rehanging the complete curtains on the night before the event, and supplied the club with a certificate for their insurers, and fire inspectors benefit.
